SPEECH RECOGNITION MODEL WEIGHTS (CC BY 4.0)
================================================================================

The local (offline) speech recognition models that VoiceVibe downloads on first
use are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International
license (CC BY 4.0): https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/

Windows and Linux: parakeet-ultra-nounk (ONNX, onnx-asr layout)
macOS (Apple Silicon): parakeet-ultra-nounk (MLX, parakeet-mlx layout)

This model is an adapted version of:

  1. "Parakeet Ultra" (moondream/parakeet-ultra, revision
     73175eb7aeb0d82f1e2a6b53b3aabc10a90bcd0b)
     by Moondream, https://huggingface.co/moondream/parakeet-ultra
     License: CC BY 4.0
which is itself a post-trained version of

  2. "parakeet-tdt-0.6b-v3" (nvidia/parakeet-tdt-0.6b-v3)
     by NVIDIA Corporation, https://huggingface.co/nvidia/parakeet-tdt-0.6b-v3
     License: CC BY 4.0

Changes made by VoiceVibe (the material was modified):
  - Converted the Moondream weights from Hugging Face safetensors (fp16) to a
NeMo checkpoint (fp32), reusing NVIDIA v3's preprocessor, tokenizer and
    config.
  - Suppressed the <unk> token: its output bias in the joint network was
lowered by 10,000, so the model never emits <unk> ("⁇").
  - Exported to ONNX (encoder-model.onnx + encoder-model.onnx.data,
    decoder_joint-model.onnx, vocab.txt, config.json) with NeMo's export, in
the file layout used by onnx-asr (the recipe of
    istupakov/parakeet-tdt-0.6b-v3-onnx).
  - For macOS, converted to MLX (model.safetensors in fp32 with senstella's
    NeMo-to-MLX converter, config.json, tokenizer.model, tokenizer.vocab,
vocab.txt) in the file layout used by parakeet-mlx (the recipe of
    mlx-community/parakeet-tdt-0.6b-v3).

Earlier VoiceVibe releases for Windows and Linux used
"parakeet-tdt-0.6b-v3" by NVIDIA Corporation (CC BY 4.0, link above) in
istupakov's ONNX conversion
(https://huggingface.co/istupakov/parakeet-tdt-0.6b-v3-onnx).

Earlier VoiceVibe releases for macOS (Apple Silicon) used
"parakeet-tdt-0.6b-v3" by NVIDIA Corporation (CC BY 4.0, link above) in the
mlx-community's MLX conversion
(https://huggingface.co/mlx-community/parakeet-tdt-0.6b-v3).

No endorsement by Moondream or NVIDIA is implied. The model weights are
provided "as is", without warranties, as stated in the CC BY 4.0 license.
